G Muddukrishnama NaiduChittoor: Both the Congress and YSRCP have no moral right to criticise Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu because of their tainted political background and the strategy they adopted during the time of bifurcation of the State, said senior TDP leader G Muddukrishnama Naidu, MLC.

  • Both the parties have no moral right to criticise the CM since their leaders are tainted
  • PM knows how to lend support to develop new State
  • Defends the bus fare hike as unavoidable to save debt-ridden APSRTC

Jagan Mohan Reddy and YSRCP chief looted the State at the behest of his father to a tune of Rs 1 lakh crore and subsequently many Congress Ministers and Legislators also indulged in corruption, he alleged.

Speaking to presspersons here at TDP office on Sunday, Muddu reiterated that CM would continue his efforts to convince the Centre for according special category status as well as special package. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi knows how to lend his support to develop AP into a model State in the country.

He would definitely keep up his promises made to the people of Andhra Pradesh,” he added. TDP leader also said that PM enjoys obsolute majority in the Parliament and the alliance with TDP is only on friendly terms.

If TDP Ministers in the Union government, are constrained to resign, there would be no impact on Modi’s government but it would be the big setback for TDP,” he says, while rubbishing the demand of the opposition parties in this regard.

Naidu further said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has never committed to grant special status to the State. “It’s unfair on the part of the opposition parties to target the Prime Minister Modi for not declaring it.

However, Prime Minister has given clear cut assurance to extend support to develop the State as well as implementing all the provisions made in AP Re-organization Bill,” he clarified.

Muddukrishnama Naidu recalled that Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu has made tremendous effort to make the Amaravati foundation ceremony an unprecedented landmark in the country by mobilising the moral and physical support from 13,000 villages in respect of carrying ‘Mana Matti -Mana Neeru” to add to the fuel for constructing the Amaravati capital city.

“Jagan Mohan Reddy is dreaming to become Chief Minister immediately by destabilising the TDP government but it will remain a pipedream. With Jagan set to go to jail due to various cases, his party will vanish into thin air sooner than later,” he added.

However, defending the government’s move to hike bus fares, Muddu said it was `unavoidable’ to save the debt-ridden APSRTC. District TDP official spokesman V Surendra Kumar and others were present.
