AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu laid the foundation stone for the Kandaleru Lift Irrigation scheme on Friday and addressed the public in Podalakur.
Assuring that the AP government would interlink Krishna and Penna rivers in order to make Nellore district drought free, Chandrababu said that the interlinking phenomena was already witnessed with Godavari and Krishna rivers. The Chief Minister stated that the government created history as Pattiseema project was completed within six months.
Chandrababu also said that the Neeru-Chettu programme has been launched to overcome shortage of 500 tmc water.
