The BJP could not avert the wastage of business hours in the Parliament (just like its predecessor ruling party). For example: As far as the Land Bill was concerned, it did not heed the protests, demands made by the opposition and gave the scope for wastage of house proceedings, days & days together. Finally, after the session was over, the government withdrew the Bill.The ruling party is unable to control its own Ministers, MPs and other party leaders who are making controversial statements repeatedly on many vital issues. There is no any modality or methodology in the Party to control its own members. This cannot be construed as “Freedom of Speech”. This is very unfortunate.
On any national issue, the BJP could not make out a consensus opinion on its own, till date, though more than 18 months have passed since it came to power. Adding to the above, with regard to the State of Andhra Pradesh, the BJP is just following in the footsteps of its arch-rival Congress party. What the Congress did with respect to bifurcation of AP state, the BJP is doing the same policy in safeguarding the interests of the divided AP state. BJP is also counting on the merits of according Special Status & Special Package to AP. If this continues, BJP will face the wrath of the people, as the Congress way did in last elections.
