AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu visited Anantapur district to inspect Handri Neeva Canal works. The Chief Minister continued the tour even though the district witnessed heavy rainfall and instructed the contractors of project to accelerate the works to complete the project by 2016.
Chandrababu reportedly directed the officials so that water is provided for drinking as well as for irrigation purposes.
