Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday wrote a letter to the Central Government seeking help for the rain-hit farmers.
In the letter, the AP CM requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to release funds of Rs 1000 crore to rescue flood affected people in various districts of the state.
He mentioned that due to heavy rains, the state had incurred a heavy loss of Rs 3000 crore.
Stating that the final report on the flood loss will soon be sent to the Centre, Chandrababu has sought immediate compensation from the Centre.
