Rajahmundry: A bicycle yatra taken up by the president of Employer and Employees Association, Kalluri Peda Mastanaiah, demanding solution for the woes of contract employees has reached Rajahmundry on Thursday.
Mastaniah started his cycle yatra from Arasavalli in Srikakulam district on November 16 and reached Rajahmundry via Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam districts. He will reach Amaravati via West Godavari and Vijayawada.
Speaking to media, Mastanaiah demanded for regularization employees who have been working as outsourcing and contract workers in all departments.
He demanded the government that Anganwadi workers and Ayas working in ICDS identified as government employees. He also asked for implementation of special leaves for women working on contract and outsourcing basis.
