Kakinada: A 24 year-old married woman and mother of one-and-a-half-years old boy was found dead under suspicious circumstances here in the wee hours of Saturday. According to sources, the deceased Kamakshi was married to a real estate trader Kamadi Rama Krishna of Nagaraju Peta in Jaganniaickpur area here for three years. Of late, Rama Krishna and his mother Raviyamma started harassing Kamakshi for extra dowry. On early hours of Saturday, Kamakshi’s body was found hanging from the ceiling.
Kamakshi’s parents, who rushed to the place, alleged that their daughter was murdered as they could not meet Rs 2 lakh of the extra dowry demand.
Kakinada Law and Order DSP, Suryadevara Venkateswara Rao visted the place of incident. Basing on the complaint by the parents of the deceased, the One Town police arrested both Ramakrishna and his mother under IPC 304-B section.
