Kakinada: Former Amalapujram MP G V Harsha Kumar lodged a complaint with the marine police station in Kakinada on Tuesday, demanding arrest of the management of Reliance Company and thorough inquiry under theft, criminal breach of trust and misappropriation on alleged infringement into ONGC gas fields and pilfering gas. In his complaint, he alleged that the Reliance had pilfered from ONGC’s KG-D to its KG-D6 to the tune of Rs 10,055 crore. He maintained that Reliance pilfered 1,112 crore cubic metres of natural gas from 2009 to March 2015.

He alleged that the Reliance had planned this theft by acquiring ONGC officials in key positions for high salaries.

He demanded action against responsible persons. He recalled that an independent consultancy from United States, Degolyer and MacNaughton had submitted report of 700 pages in October, 2014, that the Reliance had pilfered gas from KG-D belongs to the ONGC.

When contacted, Kakinada sub-division police officer (SDPO) Suryadevara Venkateswara Rao said that they would study the details of the complaint lodged with the police and initiate appropriate action.
