Visakhapatnam: Chairman and Managing Director of Andhra Pradesh Eastern Power Distribution Company Limited Revu Mutyala Raju gave tips to the school children to conserve energy as part of their Energy Conservation Week celebrations here on Saturday. The CMD was present at the drawing competition conducted for the school children in three categories-sub juniors, juniors and seniors studying from LKG to SSC at the corporate office.
Speaking on the occasion, he encouraged the kids for their active participation. He asked them to switch off the lights, fans and ACs when they were not in use to help save energy and to reduce the bill.
He suggested to the children to follow energy saving tips. Later, he distributed certificates to all the participants. Chief General Manager (Commercial) B Ramesh Prasad informed that the names of the winners will be intimated personally and prizes will be given at the valedictory function to be held on Sunday.
