The women organisations including AIDWA, POW and NFIW organised a human chain protest here on Tuesday, demanding Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to break his silence on his partymen who were allegedly involved in the call money cum sex racket. Women leaders on the occasion also raised slogans against the Chief Minister for his failure in conducting a judicial inquiry by a High Court Judge into the call money scandal.

Addressing the gathering, AIDWA city secretary K Sridevi accused the ruling TDP leaders for not allowing the call money issue for discussion in the winter session of the Assembly, though the opposition YSR Congress Party demanded a detailed discussion. She alleged that the Chief Minister was evolving plans to dilute the case by making false implications on the leaders of other parties. Majority of the women from middle class families were the
victims in the call money scam, she said. The State government should recover the money from the accused and distribute it among the victims, she demanded.

POW State president N Vishnu, NFIW city vice-president B Satyavathi, AIYF city president D Suri Babu, PDSU State president A Ravi Chandra and other leaders also took part in the protest.
