The Chief Minister had directed the officials to secure over 6 lakh square feet built up area in Vijayawada to facilitate shifting of secretariat. He told the officials that administration had become difficult with the officers staying in Hyderabad, while he is operating from Vijayawada.

He wanted the officials to stay with him in the new capital for better results. He wanted the heads of departments and secretaries to be available to the people and visit the grassroot areas to monitor the implementation of the welfare and developmental activities.

Chandrababu Naidu wanted the officials to complete construction of buildings with an area of over 6 lakh square feet in the new capital area by June 2016 to accommodate all departments, including the offices of the heads of departments and secretaries.

He directed the officials to conduct a detailed survey on availability of space to take up construction and provide space for offices.
