Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella who met AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Monday agreed to set up a Microsoft centre for excellence in Vishakapatnam and also assured cooperation with the state government in extending its support in cloud technology for improving citizen services.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella who met AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Monday agreed to set up a Microsoft centre for excellence in Vishakapatnam and also assured cooperation with the state government in extending its support in cloud technology for improving citizen services.

The AP government has also signed a MoU with Microsoft to offer better citizen services, improve access, use of Information and communication Technology (ICT), deployment, drive digital inclusion and use technical knowledge provided by Microsoft India.

The MoU will build up three proof-of-concept (POC) solutions in the fields of agriculture, education and eCitizen services in support of the state. Along with that Microsoft will also address through the technology the issue of the students who are discontinuing the studies, provide training to the government officials for better functioning and extend its support in cloud technology.

A statement from the chief minister's office said that Microsoft's Azure Machine Learning and Advanced Visualization lab technology will be utilized for predictive analytics with the technology acting as a catalyst for obtaining sustainable doubt-digit growth and better public services.
