Nellore: The TDP politburo member and MLC Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy said that the party is making efforts to reopen Kovur sugar factory.
He assured farmers and workers that he would discuss with Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for reopening of the factory.
Participating in the swearing-in ceremony programme of the Kovur Marketing Committee at a private function hall here on Tuesday, Somireddy said the State government is committed for welfare of the farmers.
Vijaya Bhanu Reddy and Bhanu Prasad have taken oath as Chairman and Vice-Chairman of Kovur Marketing Committee. Somireddy also said that district is suitable for industries. He made an appeal to the industrialists to come forward for setting up projects in the region.
MLC Beeda Ravichandra, TDP leaders Adala Prabhakar Reddy, M Sridhar Krishna Reddy, Vijaya Dairy Chairman K Ranga Reddy and others were present.
