The doctors working in government hospitals and PHCs were in for a jolt as AP government has come down heavily on them for running private nursing homes and clinics against the rules.
Several doctors working in health care centres and government hospitals in the villages of Vizianagaram district have private practice. Reportedly the doctors instead of attending duties in the hospitals were referring patients to their private clinics. Now, the AP government has decided to take action against these doctors following a report by the Medical Adiministrative Board and issued charge memos to several such doctors.
