A painter was electrocuted near Day and Night Junction in Srikakulam town on Tuesday. According to police, the deceased was identified as Palisetti Raju (28) of Peddapadu village in Srikakulam rural mandal. He was working as a painter.

He came in contact with a live electric wire while he was painting on the third floor of a building and died on the spot. On receiving information, Two Town police rushed to the spot and sent the body for post-mortem. Later, they registered a case.
