Dhone (Kurnool): Development works worth Rs 1.5 crore were launched in the municipality on Saturday. Speaking on the occasion, Municipal Chairperson K Gayatri Devi and Dhone Assembly constituency TDP in-charge KE Pratap said the municipality would be developed as a model one in the district by strengthening basic infrastructure.
Works worth Rs 3 crore would be taken up soon to develop basic amenities in the town. Focus would be laid on improvement of sanitation to make Dhone clean, they said. Later, Gayatri Devi and Pratap, along with MLC Silpa Chakrapani Reddy, participated in the third phase of Janmabhoomi – Maa Vooru programme in the 14th ward of the town.
