Family system reflects integrity of nation: Venkaiah
Union Minister for Urban Development M Venkaiah Naidu said the family system is the strength of country’s integrity. He was addressing the students at Kondepudi Sarojini Devi College for Women at Tanuku in West Godavari district on Monday evening.

The Union Minister said, “Women have a higher place in Indian Society. Our ancestors respected woman in all aspects as she’s the key for the family development.” He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with a view to give highest respect to women, has introduced “Beti Bachao – Beti – Padhao” (protect girl child – educate girl) programme in the country. Venkaiah expressed his happiness over the achievements of women in various fields competing with men. He said the nation can teach values in culture and tradition to the world.
He said “We are Telugu people. We should speak in Telugu only. If we forget our mother tongue, we forget our mother. As Telugu people we have to feel proud.” Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas, Endowments Minister Pydikondala Manikyala Rao, Narsapuram MP Gokaraju Gangaraju, Tanuku MLA Arimilli Radhakrishna, Nidadavole MLA Burugupalli Sesharao and District Collector K Bhaskar participated in the meeting. Earlier, the Union Minister inaugurated a new building of the college, sports auditorium and a sports hostel constructed at a cost of Rs 20 lakh. The NCC cadets welcomed Venkaiah Naidu.
