Speaking to newsmen at the bus depot here on Tuesday, RTC Regional Manager G Venkateswara Rao said more than 100 special buses were run from the district to meet the passenger rush during the festival days.
The RTC would run more special buses from Kurnool to various Shaivite shrines for the forthcoming Maha Shivaratri to augment its revenue.
The passenger-friendly initiatives taken by the RTC management helped the organisation reduce its losses, he said.
