Vijayawada: Minister for Health Kamineni Srinivas has said that the State Government is giving priority to improve facilities at all government hospitals, which are in a pathetic condition with regard to services and sanitation.

The Minister distributed beds and blankets to the patients of New Government Hospital at a programme organised by the Krishna District Lorry Owners Association (KDOLA) here on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, Kamineni Srinivas emphasised the need of corporate companies’ support in developing amenities at the government hospital for a better health care. He lauded the initiative of the association for creating awareness on road safety and improving RTA services to the public.

The KDOLA president, Tummala Lakshman Swamy, said that as part of the social initiative the association had distributed 50 beds and 50 blankets to the patients in the first phase.

Measures would also be taken by the association in participating in the service-oriented activities for the wellbeing of society, he said. The KDOLA secretary, Sunkara Ramesh Babu, MLCs Boddu Nageswara Rao, AS Ramakrishna, MLA Gadde Ramamohana Rao, corporator Devineni Aparna and others accompanied the Minister.
