Traffic restrictions on Bandar Road on Republic Day

The city police imposed traffic restrictions on Bandar road from 6 am to 12 noon on January 26 in view of Republic Day celebrations at India Gandhi municipal stadium.

Vijayawada: The city police imposed traffic restrictions on Bandar road from 6 am to 12 noon on January 26 in view of Republic Day celebrations at India Gandhi municipal stadium.

The cars of VIPs will be allowed as per the A-1,B-1 and V car passes in the specified routes to reach the municipal stadium. The school buses coming from Benz Circle side will be stopped at Veterinary junction. After leaving the students at the stadium, the buses should be parked on feeder road of Krishnalanka.

The school buses coming from One Town side and Satyanarayanapuram should reach Sikhamani centre and after leaving the students, they should be parked at SidharthaPublic School and Sidhartha College. The vehicles coming from Benz Circle will be diverted from Benz Circle to national highway at Krishnalanka through Skew Bridge to reach RTC bus station and the vehicles proceeding towards Benz Circle from RTC bus station will be diverted to national highway from Raghavaiah Park.

Those who are having no passes should park their vehicles at PWD Grounds and reach the municipal stadium by walk.

Meanwhile, officials including DGP JV Ramudu, Commissioner of Police Goutam Sawang, Joint Collector G Chandrudu, Sub-Collector G Srujana inspected the Republic Day arrangements at the municipal stadium. The officials inspected the rehearsals of Republic Day programme.

As per the schedule, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu welcome Governor ESL Narasimhan to receive guard of honour at Republic Day parade. Later the CM will introduce the officials to Governor.
