Five foreign nationals with Iranian passports, suspected to be terrorists on the prowl who gave the slip to Bhubaneswar police on Monday were caught at Nakkapalli in Vishakapatnam of Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday night.

Five foreign nationals, suspected to be terrorists who had been on the run from Bhubaneswar police were caught at Nakkapalli in Vishakapatnam, Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday night. The group who held Iranian passports had informed the police that they all are a part of the same family but the passports showed that they are not.

AP additional director general of police Law and Order RP Thakur said that they had caught the group after they received inputs from Odisha police and now are verifying the terror links as they haven't found any explosives with them. The group claimed to be coming from Hyderabad but it was found that they had been travelling from Bhubaneswar.

A senior police official informed that the group arrived at Delhi on different dates from other countries and now the police is in talks with the Iran Embassy to verify the passports authenticity.

Odisha Inspector General (Crime Branch) Arun Bothra said that they received concrete inputs about the entry of suspected anti-national elements in Delhi but fled the place after they were questioned by the hotel authorities and police. They passed the Palasa gate in Andhra Pradesh at 4 pm on Wednesday.
