Jammalamadugu: The timely action of police on Thursday thwarted an attempt of a man to kill his brother due to property. Police seized two country-made hand bombs from a vehicle at a dhaba on Proddutur bypass road near Jammalamadugu. According to the urban CI Venkata Kumar, the police received a tip off about a man transporting hand bombs, and they immediately put up vigil on the highway.
The police found two bombs from Toofan jeep, parked at a dhaba. The police arrested one Raghunatha Reddy. Sudarsan Reddy and Raghunatha Reddy, belong to Moragudi village under Jammalamadugu mandal, are brothers who have differences over a godown located in Mydukur for some years. The younger brother Raghunatha Reddy had schemed a way to kill his elder brother Sudarsan Reddy, resident of Mydukur.
