Minister Narayana holds Mudragada responsible for Kapu violence

Minister Narayana held former minister and prominent Kapu community leader Mudragada Padmanabham responsible for the violence that took place at Tuni in East Godavari district on Sunday. Addressing the media, the Minister condemned the violence and alleged that YSRCP activists joined the crowds at the public meeting resorting to the protests.

Pointing out at Mudragada's statements that the TDP government should take responsibility, Minister Narayana said that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is clear about the reservations for Kapus and is awaiting the BC Commission report on the issue. He said that both Mudragada Padmanabham and YSRCP leaders are aware of the GO to include Kapus under Backward Class category, which states that unless the commission gives the report, it cannot be implemented.

The Minister urged the Kapus to keep faith in the state government and wait for the right time.
