Police also blocked the former union minister M M Pallam Raju, Congress leader in Legislative Council C Ramachandraiah, former minister Vatti Vasantha Kumar and DCC president Kandula Durgesh outside main gate of the airport. Irked by this, Congress workers staged rasta-roko outside the airport jamming the traffic. Large number of police personnel was deployed at the airport.

After two hours, Chiranjeevi was brought to the main gate of the airport and he addressed the media from inside the gate. Speaking on the occasion, Chiranjeevi came down heavily on the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for following dictatorial practices by arresting him in the airport. Reminding Chief Minister of tomtoming about his vision for development, but he termed it as 3D vision -division, divide and dilution.

He alleged that Naidu is dividing castes and people and questioned why he was arrested while going to extend solidarity to Mudragada who is fasting for justice. He termed the action of the government as autocratic and wondered why Naidu is frightened about Kapu movement and expressed doubt about his commitment.

“Naidu did you forget that you also took part in many agitations while in the opposition. People will put you aside if you continue with this kind of attitude.” Chiru lambasted. PCC president Raghuveera Reddy criticised Naidu for resorting to suppressive and destructive politics and opined that the Chief Minister is distancing the people from the government.

Meanwhile, former union minister Dasari Narayana Rao was detained in the Hotel Anand Regency to prevent him from meeting Mudragada. “Am I an Indian citizen or terrorist?”, wondered former Central minister Dasari Narayana Rao here on Monday.

He expressed his anger on the government for preventing him from meeting Mudragada Padmanabham who is fasting for the reservations for Kapus. Later, speaking to reporters, he said that cares a damn about arrests and cases and he would meet Kapunadu leader at any cost and expressed worry about the health condition of fasting leader.

He observed that the situation could not have reached this stage, if the Chief Minister responded to the letter written by Mudragada in the past. After coming to know that Mudragada has called off his stir, Dasari rushed to Kirlampudi and congratulated Kapunadu leader.
