The army jawan Hanumanthappa was one of the nine jawans who were stranded in an avalanche in Siachen glacier last week and was retrieved after being buried in snow for six days. While the remaining eight army men died in the tragic incident, Hanumanthappa survived and has been undergoing treatment at Delhi's army hospital.
The army jawan's condition is said to be critical.
