Actor-turned-MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna, accompanied by Kambhampati Rama Mohana Rao, Special Representative of the Government of Andhra Pradesh here and Maganti Venkateswara Rao (Babu), MP, Anakapalli  called on Venkaiah Naidu, the Union Minister for Urban Development and Parliamentary Affairs and invited him for the Lepakshi Utsav scheduled to be held later this month in Anantapur district.

New Delhi: Actor-turned-MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna, accompanied by Kambhampati Rama Mohana Rao, Special Representative of the Government of Andhra Pradesh here and Maganti Venkateswara Rao (Babu), MP, Anakapalli called on Venkaiah Naidu, the Union Minister for Urban Development and Parliamentary Affairs and invited him for the Lepakshi Utsav scheduled to be held later this month in Anantapur district.

They also invited Ashok Gajapathi Raju, the Union Civil Aviation Minister. Later, they also met Dr Mahesh Sharma, the Union Minister of State for Tourism and Culture, in this regard who agreed to be present at either the inaugural or the farewell function. Balakrishna who has a special family bond with Hindupur and Rayalaseema, said that he wanted to make Lepakshi Utsav a grand event with a weeklong cultural festival and said artists from across the country will be gracing it.

He felt the same would be possible under the leadership of Nara Chandrababu Naidu who has dedicated himself to the all-round development of Rayalaseema. On his part, Balakrishna said, he would invite film artists to make the Utsav a memorable one.
