Srikakulam: Central and state governments’ coordination is essential for development, said Union Civil Aviation Minister P Ashok Gajapathi Raju.

He laid foundation stone for cyclone shelter building at Allivalasa in Ranastalam mandal on Sunday. The building would be built at an estimated cost of Rs 2.06 crore. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister explained that Central government cooperation was essential for development of AP state and our state government was coordinating with Central government in all issues which was a positive sign for its progress.

Etcherla TDP MLA and party state president K Kala Venkata Rao explained that government was handing over modern radios to fishermen. The radios would help fishermen get information on cyclones and tsunamis. The Minister later inaugurated 100 beds hospital building at Ranastalam mandal centre and a high school building in Laveru mandal centre.
