Rampachodavaram: Sports are very important along with education as victories in sports would help students in overcoming problems, ITDA Project Officer KVN Chakradhar Babu said here on Wednesday. He distributed prizes for the winners in sports meet held for students of schools under ITDA jurisdiction. Chintur zone won overall championship and Addatheegala zone emerged as runners-up.

Speaking on the occasion, Chakradhar Babu assured that education and sports would be developed in ITDA schools on par with private schools. He informed that sports equipment was purchased by the ITDA this year and more sports equipment would be purchased next year. He maintained that facilities like bunker beds, dual desks, dining tables and RO plants would be provided in ITDA schools.

Expressing hope that Bhadrayya would conquer Mount Everest, the ITDA official said that he would be the first person to conquer the Everest from Andhra Pradesh if he succeeds in his ambition. Sub-Collector Ravi Pattan Setty and DD, Tribal welfare, M Saraswati were also present on the occasion.
