Guntur: Aradhyula Thirumala Vasu, student of M.Tech (Mechanical) of Vignan’s University, developed a blackboard eraser, which has been under consideration for patent. Contemporary duster, as he named it, was designed to avoid the spreading of light weight dust particles inside the classroom.

It consists of a cotton cloth wounded around roller, a cylinder chamber with brushes to collect the dust particles efficiently. The duster is economically viable and could replace the simple duster.

Vice-Chancellor of the university Dr C Thangaraj, dean of foreign affairs Murthy Chavali, dean of R&D A Srinivasulu and head of the mechanical department Ramakrishna congratulated the inventor.
