With Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu keen on shifting head offices of various government departments from Hyderabad to Vijayawada or Guntur by June, 2016, many government departments are planning to shift their head offices at the earliest. The Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (APIIC) will shift it’s headquarter from Hyderabad to Vijayawada very soon. 

The shifting of APIIC office is expected to give boost to the industries in the State as the officials can take immediate steps

Vijayawada: With Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu keen on shifting head offices of various government departments from Hyderabad to Vijayawada or Guntur by June, 2016, many government departments are planning to shift their head offices at the earliest. The Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (APIIC) will shift it’s headquarter from Hyderabad to Vijayawada very soon.

The APIIC new office will be arranged at Gurunanak colony in Vijayawada and staff including its managing director B Sridhar will have to work in Vijayawada after shifting the office. The shifting of APIIC office is expected to give boost to the industries in the State and the officials can take necessary steps to strengthen the industrial parks maintained by the APIIC.

Besides, the entrepreneurs of coastal districts can directly visit the APIIC head office in Vijayawada and meet the higher officials to solve the problems faced by the industries. With bifurcation of the State, many industrialists from coastal districts are planning to shift their industries to coastal districts from Telangana State.

There is bright prospects for the development of plastic industries, agro based industries, brick manufacturing units, engineering goods manufacturing units, food processing units in Coastal districts and Rayalaseema. Besides, the state government is also encouraging the entrepreneurs by introducing single desk system which is online and very easy to operate.

Y Sarath babu, Zonal manager (incharge), APIIC said the government is also planning to set up land bank to give boost to the industries in the state and identifying lands for setting up industrial parks.
