40 injured as bus hits lorry
About 40 passengers were injured when an RTC bus hits a lorry from behind at Pathivadapalem village on National Highway (NH)-16 in Ranastalam mandal on Sunday.

(NH)-16 in Ranastalam mandal on Sunday.
According to Ranastalam Sub-Inspector, Satyannarayana, in total 90 passengers were travelling in the bus which was going towards
Visakhapatnam from Srikakulam. In an attempt to overtake the speeding lorry the bus driver hits it from behind as a result 40 passengers
including the bus driver sustained injuries.
The injured were shifted to RIMS government hospital at Srikakulam for better treatment where their condition is said to be stable. Police
took the lorry driver into custody and registered a case. Out of the 40 injured, two suffered injuries on their legs.
