National assistant secretary of the All Indian Insurance Employees’ Association (AIIEA) M Girija inaugurated the event, State president of Centre for Indian Trade Unions (CITU) S Punyavathi participated as chief guest, South Central Zone Insurance Employees Federation (SCZIEF) president K Venugopal Rao presided over the meeting. Speaking on the occasion, CITU State president S Punyavathi said that BJP-led NDA government was jeopardising livelihood of insurance employees by allowing foreign direct investment.

She further alleged that the policies of NDA government were pro corporate.She called upon the insurance workers to join hands to fight against the Centre’s move.
