AP Social Welfare Minister Ravela Kishore Babu's son Ravela Susheel Kumar who has been charged under section 41A of CrPC of Nirbhaya act for misbehaving with a teacher in a drunken state on Thursday evening has finally surrendered in Jubilee Hills police station on Saturday night.

Susheel Kumar's lawyer attempt for bail was refused by the Police following which the accused surrendered in the police station. The accused was absconding after police served notices to Susheel’s residence in Minister's quarters asking him to appear for questioning. Susheel Kumar even took to Facebook claiming he was being framed and stated that he had been trying to save a puppy when the victim picked an argument with him. However, his claims proved false as the police gathered CCTV footage that had nothing according to his claims.

The victim had lodged a complaint stating that a car with 'MLA' sticker followed her while she was on her way to school on Thursday evening. She had alleged that the driver and another person who were drunk had passed remarks and asked her to come inside the car. The woman was even attempted to be pulled inside the vehicle when she raised an alarm following which her husband and some locals reached the spot. Later, the woman identified the minister's son as the one who had tried to pull her inside the car.

The 24-year-old was taken to Osmania General hospital for medical examination. Following the examination, Susheel and his driver, Ramesh were arrested. Susheel Kumar has been booked under the Nirbhaya Act and sections 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) for misbehaving with a private school teacher.
