A national level technical and management meet `JIGNASA-2016' was held at Potti Sriramulu Chalavadi Mallikharjuna Rao (PSCMR) College of Engineering and Technology at One Town here on Thursday.

Participating as chief guest was Executive Director of Apex Solution Ltd, S Narendra Kumar who exhorted that students should pursue their subjects with high interest to acquire knowledge, which benefits them to invent new things that will in turn benefit the society.

He underlined the need for students to get knowledge from various sources rather than just from their text books for their all-round development. He lauded the efforts of college management for offering good placements in off campus drives for the students to make them employable before leaving the college campus.

College president Ch Mallikharjuna Rao said that these technical and management meets will enable students to acquire knowledge from the resource persons about the latest advancements in technology to develop their skills to compete in the modern world.

The College management was in front to organise technical and management meets for the students to make them industrial ready, he said. The event had Paper presentations, technical and business quiz, entrepreneur skills, debate, problem solving and cultural events held as part of the technical and management meet in which about 450 students from various colleges took part.

Later, the chief guest along with College principal K Nageswara Rao had gave away prizes to the winners of various events held as part of the event. College secretary Sriram Radhakrishna Murthy, joint secretary G Pavan Kumar, treasurer K Venkateswara Rao, departmental heads of various colleges and other faculty members were present.
