Araku MP Kothapalli Geetha is facing opposition from the YSR Congress as the party leaders are demanding the immediate resignation of the MP as she doesn\'t belong to the Scheduled Tribes.
Araku MP Kothapalli Geetha is facing opposition from the YSR Congress as the party leaders are demanding the immediate resignation of the MP as she doesn't belong to the Scheduled Tribes.
Speaking to the media on Saturday in Hyderabad, Party MLA Giddi Eshwari said that Kothapalli Geetha has no moral right to continue as MP from the quota seat of Araku after the district administration ruled out that her brother was not an ST. The MLA further said that the post should be resigned immediately and given to the person who can represent the adivasis of the constituency.
Giddi Eshwari said that the Araku MP who switched over to TDP gave a certificate from the MeeSeva following which her application was considered for the candidature but now the reality is out and should quit on her own else the issue would be taken up at appropriate forums.
