Six Tirumala pilgrims killed in Chittoor road mishap

In a major road accident, six pilgrims were killed and 10 others were injured in the wee hours of Tuesday in Chittoor district. The pilgrims were on their way to Tirupati from Yelahanka, Bengaluru in a tempo when their vehicle collided with a lorry near Rayalavari Kota of Chandragiri mandal in Tirupati.

Four of the six people who died in the accident were women and the injured were rushed to the Ruiya hospital in Tirupati. The lorry driver and cleaner were admitted to the hospital but their condition is said to be critical.
