Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh State Legislative Assembly Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao opined that famous pilgrim centre of Kotappakonda should be developed coordinating temple and eco-tourism spot, in order to attract tourists to the Trikoteswara Swamy temple there.

Taking part in a review meeting with Endowments Minister P Manikyala Rao, Endowments principal secretary JSV Prasad, Endowments Commissioner Anuradha and Tourism principal secretary Neerabh Kumar, held at his chambers in the Assem

He asked them to devise plans to develop infrastructure amenities to meet the growing tourist inflows to the destination in future. He said that a ropeway and two launching stations should be built here. A tourist amenities’ centre and eco-tourism resorts should be built. Eco tourism projects should include development of landscapes and construction of an aquarium, he said.

The meeting also discussed appointments made earlier in violation of rules by the previous regime. The tourist attraction could be groomed as a spiritual tourism centre and also as a recreation centre constructing an amphitheatre, providing amenities for a sound and light show, a bird sanctuary and a view point.
