Recalling the issues raised by the YSRCP during the budget session, “We have highlighted all the irregularities of the government which was acting in favour of a select few. Hyderabad: The TDP government stands exposed of embezzling funds and nepotism and the CAG report had confirmed all the issues the YSRCP highlighted in the just concluded budget session, said YSRCP president YS Jaganmohan Reddy.
Speaking to mediapersons here on Thursday, Jagan summed up the budget session saying that they had done well by highlighting issues faced by the public while the State government skirted them. “The weakness of TDP government was exposed when we have taken up the no confidence motion against the government and against the Speaker. The ruling party in a tearing hurry bypassed the rules only to shield the turncoats from being disqualified. TDP lacks moral courage to face polls,” he chided.
“It is not a coincidence that CAG Report has mentioned the same irregularities which we have highlighted earlier, it vindicates our stand and throws light on the corrupt practices of the TDP government,” the YSRCP remarked.

Accusing the ruling party of gagging the opposition, “It set aside the mandatory 15 days time and had taken up the issue in a hurry giving us no time to issue a whip, which would eventually disqualify the defectors. The no trust move on Speaker too was handled in a similar way and the Speaker himself was in the chair, when the rules were given a go-by and the motion was taken up immediately. Even our demand for voting on Appropriation Bill was not accepted,” he said.
