Government will accord priority to Muslim welfare, says CM

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday said that his government would accord priority to Muslim community in filling government jobs. Party leaders interpret this as an indication by Naidu that he would accommodate a Muslim leader in the State Cabinet soon. So far there is no representation for the community in the Cabinet.

Naidu was speaking at the Minorities’ Atmeeya Sadassu held at Gandhi Mahila Kalasala here on Saturday evening. He also promised to put in efforts to achieve four percent reservation for Muslims. He also promised to protect the Wakf lands.
