Tirupati: TTD Trust Board Chairman Dr Ch Krishnamurthy and TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao on Wednesday formally met Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in Mumbai. A press release from TTD here said that the duo handed over the letter of representation from Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh N Chandrababu Naidu to Devendra Fadnavis to provide piece of land to TTD for construction of Lord Venkateswara Swamy temple along with TTD information centre including facilities like e-darshan counter keeping in view that many pilgrims have been coming from Maharashtra to Tirumala for darshan. Fadnavis responded positively to the request and agreed to provide 2.4 acres of land located in Belapur in Navi Mumbai to TTD. Finance Minister Sudhir Mungantivar and Revenue Minister Ekanath Khadse were also present during the meeting. Later, TTD Chairman, EO, JEO P Bhaskar and Estates Officer Balakrishna have inspected the site at Navi Mumbai which was proposed by Maharashtra government for TTD.
TTD Chief calls on Maha Guv Later, TTD Chairman Krishnamurthy met Maharashtra Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao and discussed with him about the importance of temple and e-darshan counter, to which the Governor has given his nod.
