Vijayawada: The State will receive sufficient rainfall to help farmers get good harvest and remunerative prices in the New Year, noted astrologer Ponnaluri Srinivasa Gargeya has said here on Friday. Gargeya recited the Panchaga Sravanam to mark the Ugadi celebrations organised by the Departments of Endowments, Language and Culture here on Friday. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Cabinet ministers, officials of various government departments, priests, artistes among others attended the event.

Making predictions for the New Year, Ponnaluri Srinivasa Gargeya said the income of Andhra Pradesh would be 99 and expenditure 106. The gap between income and expenditure for State was very less. The government would spend more than its revenue due to unavoidable circumstances to fulfill the needs of the people. The government can easily overcome the problem and people would have good and prosperous year, he said.

Though the rainfall begins late in August, there would be sufficient rain and farmers would get good crop for which they would get remunerative price, said Srinivasa Gargeya. Predicting that the State government would face some difficulties for 139 days in the year, Srinivasa Gargeya said that the Chief Minister would overcome all the problems. He suggested the Chief Minister to be cautious in June and July because some problems would arise during that period.

Srinivas said that the State would see development in the fields of information technology, tourism, film, agriculture among others. He suggested the gold traders to be prudent as gold prices could come down in August and September. The government could overcome the hurdles by performing ‘Yagnams’. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu released the TTD and State agriculture panchagam.

‘Vyavasaya Panchagam’ prepared by pundits with the help of Acharya N G Ranga University predicted normal rainfall from June to September 2016. The ‘Vyavasaya Panchagam’ also forecast rise of temperature in the State this year and heavy rains and hailstorms in some parts of Andhra Pradesh in Sri Durmukhi Naama Samvatsaram. Prices of groundnut, turmeric, cotton, redgram and other crops are likely to increase this year as per ‘Vyavasaya Panchagam’.
