Bicycle yatra for special status
A youth, K Veera Venkata Satyannarayana of Sivadevunichikkala village in Veeravasaram mandal of West Godavari district started bicycle yatra at his village on April 8 (Ugadi) by demanding special status.
Srikakulam: Bicycle yatra demanding special status to Andhra Pradesh reached Srikakulam on Monday. A youth, K Veera Venkata Satyannarayana of Sivadevunichikkala village in Veeravasaram mandal of West Godavari district started bicycle yatra at his village on April 8 (Ugadi) by demanding special status.
The yatra reached bar association hall on the district court premises in Srikakulam. Bar association representatives Y Surya Rao, V Krishna Chand and others lauded his effort and responsibility towards state and donated money to him for expenditure on his way. Speaking on the occasion, Veera Venkata Satyannarayana said that he started bicycle yatra to Delhi to motivate people of AP and leaders from the state to put pressure on Central government in achieving special status.
