Naidu has been striving for the welfare of the farming community by highlighting the lapses of the successive state governments for the last two decades. He personally submitted memoranda to the former Chief Ministers YS Rajasekhara Reddy, N Kiran Kumar Reddy, and to the present Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to resume operations of Chittoor Cooperative Dairy and protect the interests of the farmers.

Naidu is a staunch follower of Mahatma Gandhi. He follows Gandhi’s ideologies and never wears a shirt. Speaking to The Hans India here on Tuesday, Naidu said that he would continue his fast peacefully until his demands are met. “Injustice is being meted out to farmers in the district by closing cooperative units. I am staging relay fast to highlight the plight of farmers,” he added.

Naidu asked District Collector Siddharth Jain to come forward on behalf of the State government to revive Chittoor Cooperative Sugars and Chittoor Cooperative Dairy unconditionally. He stated that he would continue his fast, even, if farmers fail to support him.
