Panchayat Raj Day fete from April 14 to 24
The National Panchayat Raj Day celebrations will be organised in the district on a grand scale from April 14 to 24. The celebrations will be launched to mark the 125th birth anniversary of Father of Indian Constitution BR Ambedkar.
Kurnool: The National Panchayat Raj Day celebrations will be organised in the district on a grand scale from April 14 to 24. The celebrations will be launched to mark the 125th birth anniversary of Father of Indian Constitution BR Ambedkar. As per the schedule evolved by the AP Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Department, several programmes to promote social tranquility and communal harmony would be held in villages from April 14 to 16.
Meetings on ryot welfare would be organised from April 17 to 20 where awareness would be created among farmers about modern methods of cultivation to increase the agricultural output. Grama Sabhas will be conducted from April 21 to 24, which lay emphasis on strengthening of the Panchayat Raj system and achievement of rural growth in the State.
District Collector Ch Vijaymohan who held a meeting with nodal officers here on Monday, directed them to ensure the success of Panchayat Raj Day celebrations in Kurnool.
