The mortal remains of former TDP MP Gudipati Ramaiah were cremated in his farm land at Mangampet near Rajampet on Thursday. Ramaiah (59) died of prolonged ill-health at KIMS Hospital in Hyderabad on Wednesday. 

Railway Kodur (Kadapa): The mortal remains of former TDP MP Gudipati Ramaiah were cremated in his farm land at Mangampet near Rajampet on Thursday. Ramaiah (59) died of prolonged ill-health at KIMS Hospital in Hyderabad on Wednesday.

According to the sources, Ramaiah had been suffering from chronic renal failure for several years and underwent treatment at KIMS Hospital in Hyderabad. As the condition deteriorated on Wednesday, the doctors had performed surgery on Ramaiah but he breathed his last while undergoing surgery. His body was shifted to his native Mangampet.

Party activists, followers and relatives paid last respects to Ramaiah. He is survived by two daughters and one son. He served as Railway Kodur MP during the TDP regime from 1999 to 2004.
