Students of MEC group from The Modern Academy of Technical and General Education created ripples in the Junior and Senior Intermediate Public Examinations results which were released on Tuesday.
According to the Modern Academy executive director K Sambasiva Rao, academy student Varaprasad got 970 marks out of 1000, followed by T Sai Sahiti (966), R Divyasri (965), N Harika (963), Ch Neelima (961) and T Divya (961).
In fact, 92 per cent of the students got more than 90 marks in economics and commerce. Junior Intermediate students of the academy J Joshna, S Sai Keertana, N Akanksha and P Yogita got 476, 475, 473 and 473 marks respectively.
Continuing its winning streak for the past 29 years, the Academy achieved a pass percentage of 99 in the groups of MEC and CEC. Students and their parents attribute this to the choice of the institution. The Modern Academy, mean while, also announced introduction of B Com (honours) course, first-of-its-kind, in the city.
