TTD deposits gold in PNB
Terming it as divine association, the MD and CEO of PNB, Usha Anantha Subramaniyam expressed her immense pleasure in this context. Among other dignitaries present were Tirupati JEO P Bhaskar, Additional FACAO O Balaji, Vinod Joshi, GM, Ashok Kumar Yamma, DGM, Aswin Kumar Thamman, DGM.
Tirupati: The temple management of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has invested 1,311 kg pure gold bars having 0.995 fineness in the Punjab National Bank (PNB) on Monday.
In a formal programme held in the chambers of TTD Executive Officer Dr D Sambasiva Rao at the TTD administrative building here on Monday, the gold deposits have been made to PNB. Speaking on this occasion, the EO said, “TTD has written a letter to the RBI and GOI to amend the gold monetisation scheme. If we get a green signal from them, we could be able to deposit the existing deposits as well new one also under medium and long term schemes."
