Chittoor: District TDP president G Srinivasulu ruled out that there is no dissidence in the party. Under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, the district TDP is ahead among all the district units in the State in strengthening the party from a grassroots level, he pointed out.

Chittoor TDP has won the appreciation of the high command in this regard, he added. The district TDP functionaries felicitated G Srinivasulu, district TDP president, here on Saturday for winning the Chief Minister’s accolades. Speaking to the media here on Sunday at the TDP office, Srinivasulu said that organisational elections were held and the district office bearers were elected in all the mandals in the district.

He exuded confidence that the TDP would romp home in next elections as the party was strengthened at the grassroots level. The TDP is a disciplined party, which has dedicated leaders and workers, and follows the instructions of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. He assured that the Chief Minister would strive to develop Chittoor district as a model one.

The government is committed to supplying drinking water to the district through Hendrix- Neeva Sujala Sravanthi Major Irrigation Project, he reminded. Kuppam sub-channel of Handri-Neeva is on the verge of completion with an out lay of Rs 480 crore, he pointed out. This would solve drinking water problem in Kuppam, V Kota, Baireddipalli, Palamaner, Gangavaram and Peddpandjani mandals in the district.

The Chief Minister already promised that water from Handri-Neeva project would be diverted to Chittoor city from Punganuru Reservoir within six months, he said. Referring to the candle rally taken out by the YSRCP activists in Chittoor on Saturday, Srinivasulu made it clear that YSRCP would disappear from the State in next elections.

Fed up with the indifferent attitude of YSRCP president YS Jaganmohan Reddy, many legislators of the party are showing interest to join TDP. Apart from it, the YSRCP legislators are impressed with the administration of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who is taking measures for the all-round development of the State, he informed. TDP official spokesperson V Surendra Kumar and others were present.
