Vijayawada: AP Congress Committee president N Raghuveera Reddy wrote an open letter to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on the problems being faced by SCs, STs and minorities.
He said that the Congress party activists toured the State from March 20 to April 20 and took out Samajika Nyaya Sadhikara Yatra. The Yatra was intended to study the problems of SCs, STs and minorities and bring them to the notice of government. He said that there was unrest among SC, ST and minorities over the failure of TDP government to fulfill 124 election promises. He alleged that Janmabhoomi committees were resorting to partisan attitude in sanctioning pensions and houses and demanded abolition of Janmabhoomi committees. He said people were demanding closure of belt shops.

People were expressing concern over the government not filling up backlog posts. The government failed to provide free power supply to SC, STs using 50 units. The Congress leader said that the government totally failed to protect the interests of tribals.
