The State government is planning to improve the brand image of Amaravati by organising Krishna Pushkaralu in a big way. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu who inspected Durga Ghat on the banks of Krishna river here on Tuesday, directed the officials to develop ghats keeping in view inland waterways to be developed in future.

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu who inspected Durga Ghat on the banks of Krishna river here on Tuesday, directed the officials to develop ghats keeping in view inland waterways to be developed in future.

He said four tourist points should be developed between Prakasam Barrage and Bhavanipuram and asked the officials to beautify the riverfront and canal banks. Later, speaking to media persons Minister Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao who accompanied the Chief Minister, said that Naidu had asked the Ministers to monitor the Krishna Pushkaralu works.

Lashing out at YSRCP and Congress parties, he said that they were staging protests for their existence. Minister for Municipal Administration P Narayana, Collector Babu A, Municipal Commissioner G Veerapandian and others also accompanied the Chief Minister.
